Abstract

The paper establishes the mathematical model for the semi-allways action mechanism inside the UDZ fuze that uses for RGO and RGN impact grenades. The solving program of the mathematical model is associated with Taguchi's orthogonal array to calculate the maximum working impact angles of the mechanism for different structure parameters. The influence of 4 parameters: the mass of the inertial ball, the mass of the striker, the taper angle of the inclined surfaces in the fuze body, and the taper angle of the inclined surfaces in the striker on the sensitivity of the semi-allways action mechanism is evaluated by Taguchi's method. The results obtained show that the mass of the striker has a great influence. In contrast, the angle of the inclined surface on the fuze body and the mass of the inertial ball has a lower influence on the maximum working impact angle of the mechanism. © 2023 IEEE.
