Abstract

In this paper, a brain-computer interface system that controls a robot arm operated by signals from the brain has been developed. Using the Emotiv Epoc, the electroencephalograph (EEG) signal is acquired and processed in real time. The signal is then processed through a brain-computer interface (BCI) program. The analysis results are mapped into the corresponding commands to control the robotic arm. The developed system can distinguish two different mental states in addition to the neutral state. © 2023 IEEE.
