Abstract

The paper presents a method to determine the parameters to evaluate the firing stability of the howitzer mounted on wheeled vehicles. The dynamic model is established based on Newton's law of motion. The model consists of 2 rigid bodies with 5 degrees of freedom. The 105mm howitzer M101 mounted on the wheeled vehicle Ural-375 is selected for the dynamic model simulation. This paper also presents a method for calculating the recoil resistance and applies the dynamic analysis of recoiling parts of the 105mm Howitzer M101 when it is recoiling. The results in this paper are used to test the firing stability of the howitzer mounted on wheeled vehicles. This is also a scientific basis that can be used in research and design calculations to optimize the structure of the artillery-vehicle complex. © 2023 IEEE.
