Abstract

Based on the remote sensing data, comprehensive information is provided on mining landscapes at deposits of mineral raw materials for production of cement, crushed stone, metallurgical fluxes, and asbestos products, which are in open-pit mining in the mining regions of Russia. Using high-resolution satellite images, the amount of mining transport equipment in quarries at non-metallic mineral deposits has been determined. The volume of diesel fuel consumed by dump trucks when removing rocks from quarries has been calculated. The volume of toxic substances released into atmosphere during the operation of quarry vehicles in the being developed deposits of non-metallic minerals has been established. © 2024 Izdatel'stvo Kalvis.
