Abstract

In this paper, we present a method for designing power dividers with high isolation using coupled substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) resonators. Building on a conventional structure, we introduce two improved types of power dividers. By strategically adjusting the placement of the ports, we enhance the overall performance of the divider. Both types of dividers can operate over a fractional bandwidth of \mathbf5. 3 % in the Ku-band, demonstrating good insertion loss and highly balanced amplitude and phase. The best design exhibits return losses greater than 13.8 dB, divided insertion losses greater than 4.6 dB, and isolation between output ports greater than 19.7 dB across the entire band. © 2024 IEEE.
