Abstract

BICM-ID technology has experienced widespread adoption in recent years as a means of enhancing the quality of digital transmission systems. Moreover, paper 14 recommends the utilization of the BIBCM-ID system (which employs block codes) for real-time services. BICM-ID exhibits excellent error performance over both additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and fading channels when employing a wisely designed signal mapping 11. This capability enables BICM-ID to rapidly approach channel capacity by reducing the bit error rate (BER) at low signal-to-noise ratios. In this article, our focus lies on selecting an good mapping strategy for the M-QAM signal constellation to improve the quality of wireless transmission systems. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
