Abstract

the paper presents a study of the forest reclamation dynamics of the waste dumps that were created during surface coal mining on the territory of the Irkutsk region. Based on remote sensing data collected over a 35-year period, a positive dynamics has been established in execution of the forest reclamation. the entire scope of reforestation activities was performed on the waste dumps accumulated as the result of opencast mining of Cheremkhovsky, azeysky, Mugunsky and Zheronsky coal deposits. © 2021 Ugol' Journal Edition, LLC.
