Abstract

We demonstrated a linear-cavity fiber laser using a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) fabricated by femtosecond laser and a Sagnac loop as cavity mirrors. The temperature sensing response of the fiber laser was characterized by placing the FBG in a high-temperature environment. The stability of the fiber laser at high temperature was improved after the FBG was annealed at 1100 °C. The fiber laser can work stably as a temperature sensor at 1000 °C and its temperature sensing sensitivity is approximately 15.9 pm/°C from 300 °C to 1000 °C. © 2019
